What does a free website security check actually prove?
A website security check is a bounded inspection of public HTTP, TLS and browser-security signals. It is a useful starting point, not a penetration test or a guarantee that an application is secure.
What the engine observes
- A validated HTTPS connection and its negotiated protocol
- Public response headers and anonymous cookie attributes
- First-party JavaScript references and security metadata
Authentication, tenant separation and business logic require a verified, authorized assessment.
What happens after a check?
Read the observations and their evidence first. Save the private report if useful. To go deeper, verify domain control and agree a precise scope, testing window and resource limits. High-impact candidates remain candidates until appropriate validation is complete.
